Key Projects:

  • Migration of highly visible public-facing applications and related performance monitoring to a private cloud
  • Development of complex XML gateway and Web application server custom monitoring to derive performance statistics from thousands of simultaneous submissions with multi-step and variable processes. The resulting data provides critical metrics for measuring and predicting application performance and capability.
  • Design and development of daily automated reports used for executive and operations oversight of current status. These reports bridged the gaps between business needs and COTS functionality in systems and applications monitoring and event status. These reports additionally served to identify baseline requirements for transitioning custom and standard monitors to different COTS monitoring software.
  • Migration of critical enterprise server and infrastructure applications across 130,000 systems during a server refresh
  • Enterprise-wide load-leveling implementation to migrate and balance 130,000 systems across a complex infrastructure
  • Design and implementation of integrated configuration management, inventory and automated software distribution solutions
  • Development of customized automated, innovative and network-efficient software deployment architecture and associated packages decreasing the time-to-deploy of critical applications by 90%, saving the IRS an estimated $1.5 million
  • Development of inter-organizational processes among various groups including application developers, asset management, testing and verification, security and operations to facilitate the movement of software from development or purchase to the end user
  • Design and implementation of a data collection process for Navy-wide IT assessment, which included leading asset discovery teams at Navy sites across the United States
  • Automated optimized network tuning and configuration of over 200 Tivoli infrastructure servers across a government agency
  • Automated deployment of baseline enterprise monitoring agents with Web-based interface for reporting
  • Implement distributed network infrastructure applications at high security military site
